Can a layout generator produce compositions that still feel intentional rather than random?

Hypothesis

Constraining randomness to a small set of proportional rules would keep results coherent.

What it is

A generator that builds asymmetric grid layouts from a fixed set of proportion rules, used to prototype project page compositions quickly.

Try it

Adjust the constraint sliders and regenerate — the same rules, different compositions, all staying inside the proportion system.

Result

Constraining the ratios to a handful of known-good relationships produced layouts worth using directly, not just as rough drafts.

What I learned

Good constraints do more design work than good randomness.
